Can I still accept money for my services without getting tax exempt status?
Yes, definitely! Due to the separation of Church and State doctrine in the United States, any ordained minister can accept money for their services, counseling, readings, weddings, ceremonies, etc. If you don't want to go thru all the hassle of filling out forms and paying the expense to get your 501c3 tax exempt status, (average attorney's fees for this are $850 and the process can take months) you can remain an Ordained Minister at the head of an unincorporated church or pastoral / healing counseling ministry. You accept suggested donations for your services. They used to call them "love offerings," but now most people use more accurate terms such as: "healing, reading or counseling session for a suggested donation of $20...." etc. You simply say "suggested donation"---and then set whatever amounts you deem appropriate.What are some good suggested donations for my services?
When performing a wedding, ministers ask for a suggested donation of $150, which used to be a sort of minimum standard fee for most ministers across the US. Now the norm has gone up to $450, I think! Baptism or Sacred Naming of a baby is usually the same suggested donation as a wedding. Counseling or reading sessions bring in anywhere from $15 to $100. House blessings can ask for a suggested donation of up to $1000. I've never charged that much for anything. However, many ministers rely solely on their spiritual ministering skills to support their families, so it's okay to ask for higher amounts, just so long you don't break anyone's financial back (that would come back on you, so not a good idea). I know ministers who suggest hefty donation fees. Again, as long as you are fine with it, and your customers are fine with it, it's fine. Just be sure to file your income taxes at the end of the year as a clergy member---pay an accountant to do it, makes life so much simpler. (The above mentioned tax forms & publications explain this process). Check your yellow pages and call around first to get a feel for whom you might want to work with.

as Truths of the Faith in Christ Jesus
- Having all Faith that the Holy Bible (original autographs) is divinely inspired, the only infallible, final and authoritative Word of God. That the cannon of Scripture is a sealed and completed work from God. We hold also as valid all jewish manuscripts that reflects the Torah and the prophets and the culture of the people of Yahweh as inspired materials to keep Yahweh's people as a specially cultured people by Yahweh.
- Having all Faith that there is one God, eternal existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That these three comprise the Godhead of all authority and power for all time.
- Having all Faith in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Salvation is given to all those who believe and receive Him; that Christ Jesus provides the only pathway to God.
- Having full understanding that Satan is controlling and takes dominion over the present world and that those outside of the Faith in Christ are led of this sinful spirit and are powerless against this leading. That they are led in captive bondage and kept blinded to the truth of Christ Jesus.

- Having all Faith that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential to reach the fullness of Christ Jesus with a purity of the heart. That this fact will be made evident by the outward appearance of the fruits of the Spirit in Love.
- Having all Faith in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. Whose divine power is with us today providing individual gifts which operate in His will through those He selects, who have received Him.
- Having all Faith in the gifts of Ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teaches, Evangelists) divinely given to expand, develop and grow the Kingdom ministries. That God has set FIRST in the Church Apostles, NOT Cardinals, nor Bishops, neither Popes for the effective Founding and Structuring of His Church on earth, with the seal of His presence displayed through extra-ordinary signs and wonders. That there is no such Biblical Titles as Cardinal, Pope, Rev. Father, Most Reverend, Archbishop and Monsignor but are Titles identifying in man’s world that such ones are divine vessels of God recognized by the civic society. As such titles are ecclesial endorsements and should not in anyway deny Apostles of their Holy Place in effecting their office in the Body of Christ and in the earth.
- Having all Faith in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life eternal in Christ Jesus and they that are lost unto the resurrection in Christ Jesus and receive the final judgment unto eternal damnation in total and permanent separation from God.
- Having all faith in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord, Christ Jesus; that there is but one true Church in the Body of Christ of which the Lord Jesus is the head; that we, His servant, fit jointly together for the service of His continuing ministry. That His true Church is without divisions of any kind. We declare our belief in the normative decrees of the Seven Ecumenical Councils of the undivided Church: The Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, Constantinople in 381 AD, Ephesus in 431 AD, Chalcedon in 451 AD, Constantinople 11 in 553 AD, Constantinople 111 in 680 AD and Nicaea 11 in 787 AD. It is Scandalous to cause a schism in His Universal Church of any kind.
- Having all Faith that only God can ordain anyone for His ministry!!! Man can only give recognition of this calling by Licensure. No man-created religion has the ability to CREATE a minister. Christian Organizations can only grant license for ministry. The Anointing for Ministry comes not from man but from GOD. Men can perform no ceremony that will impart this Anointing. Many Organized Religions will try to dispute these facts, however the Truth is clearly evidenced in the Holy Bible.
- Having all Faith in the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist (The Lord’s Supper) otherwise known as Holy Communion, or Divine Liturgy. As instituted by Christ; who is Himself certainly and really present in His own ordinances (though not in the elements thereof as subscribed by the Roman Catholic Church), and are signs and seals of His Gospel not to be separated therefrom. They confirm the promises and gifts of salvation and, when rightly used by believers with faith and prayer are, through the operation of the Holy Spirit, true means of grace. It is the central focus of our Church Service. The Eucharist should be offered as often as possible to all baptized Christians who are, or believe themselves to so to be, a part of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, and shall not be turned away from the Love of Christ for reasons of race, religion, creed, national origin or sexual orientation. It is a hope and expectation that those who do partake of the Sacrament of the Eucharist, do so after confessing their sin to Almighty God and renounce and repent from their sin.
- Having all Faith in all that the City-Church stands for, in bringing the Church to its full Maturity in this Age. That the Century One Church was a seed form of what God is doing in this end-time to bring His Church to Maturity. Regardless of how glorious it will be in this end-time it’s still the body of Christ.
- Having all Faith that God in His appointed time will allow and return the favor back to the Jews (Messianic Jews) to rebuild their Temple according to the pattern recorded in Ezekiel 40-48. That when this happens it will knock off certain theology and ecclesial theology we had held so dogmatically in the past. That it will take a prophet to effect this teaching and Angel Michael and Gabriel who will appear in such a time as the Mighty Prince of Israel to help the Israelites. Daniel 12:1
- Having all Faith that before the world comes to an end Daniel 2:44 must be fulfilled and the Universal Church will be glorified, Economically, Politically, Spiritually, Socially and Materially; as the stone cut out without hands. That this Ecumenical Church will break in pieces Religions, Nations, Kingdoms and Powers that be in order for God alone to be exalted above the peoples of the earth through the glorification of His Kingdom on earth. The Silver and the Gold are His. That the Vatican does not in any way represent the FULL manifestation of His grand plan for His Kingdom. His Kingdom is all encompassing, it is all-denominational as well as it is non-denominational. When all these begins to happen it is clear sign that the Fulness of the Gentile Church has come.
- Having all faith that the followers of Yahweh have racial prejudice whatsoever. The favor has been openned to the House of Israel and Judah as much as to the Goyim. Neither is there any promotion of racial Jewry or racial followers of Yahweh. Yahweh has opened the commonwealth to all that will come, He will receive them.
- - We renounce dual Covenant theology; Yeshua's name is greater than Moses as such All who come to us must believe in the Covenant perfected under Yeshua. Yeshua is the goal of the Torah.
- We believe that Yahweh is rescuing from the nations and false religions, a redeemed blood washed remnant by yeshua's blood, and rebuilding Israel. Renewed Covenant Israel, is defined as Judah and Ephraim-Israel, the two physical houses become one again, through our Messiah Yeshua(Jesus). Their companions are the minority non-Israelities, who by messiah's atonement, join the nation of Israel, and become Israel but not Jews. We recognize that all jews are Israelites but also that all Israelites are not Jews(10 Tribes). The Israel of Yahweh, Galatians 6:16 includes all children of the promise, through Isaac and Jacob-Israel, and those who join Israel.1 Peter 2:9; Ezekiel 37:16; Isaiah 56:1-8

(Arch) Bishops will receive appointment on an annual basis. Each year candidates may apply for the (Arch) Bishop’s position in their area. All appointments will be handled on an equal basis annually. It is the responsibility of each (Arch) Bishop to initiate and seek reappointment on an annual basis.
Appointment of the (Arch) Bishop, as with any higher office carries with it various costs in time, knowledge, and limited expense. The candidate accepts that there is no remuneration for time or expenses in carrying out the office of (Arch)Bishop.

…it is possible in some cultures to be too forward, and even presumptuous, in exchanging names with people, because our name symbolizes our personal and private identity. Vincent Donovan discovered this w hen he was working among the Masai in Tanzania. At first, he has written, ‘ I quite naturally acted out of my American background, and saw nothing wrong in telling them my name and asking theirs.’ He was adviced however, that the Masai regarded this as very rude. In public and with strangers they used titles and designations, not names. One day a Masai man said to him:”Do not throw my name about. My name is important. My name is me. My name is for my friends.’ So, when Vincent Donovan moved to a new area, he adopted the custom of not knowing or disclosing each other’s names. Then after working among them for a long period of time, and, perhaps as a parting gift to me, one of the elders told me his name, and I told him mine. I was flattered at the exchange. “My name is for my friends”.It would be good in the west too, I think, to cultivate something of this respect for persons and their names. Our stand and philosophy on Holy Orders: we believe in the strict contents in the Canon Law of the Independent Catholic Union, USA on Holy Orders, That “it was and shall be unlawful for any member of the episcopacy of the ICU to offer, confer, or celebrate the sacrament of Holy Orders for any candidate to Holy Orders in exchange for any donation or tithe, no matter what form the donation or tithe may take. That is to say money, goods, valuables or services, or any other article. Likewise, it shall be unlawful for any member of the Episcopacy of the ICU to offer for the above mentioned consideration(s) elevation to the Episcopacy to any candidate eligible and approved for the same. Violation of this is Simony and will not be tolerated, accepted or condoned in any manner. This in and of itself may result in the immediate revocation, nullification and termination of any association or affiliation with the ICU…”(Canon 11)
But over the years we have come to discover that what you don’t value you don’t attract as such we had to place value on the credentials to make people value what we are doing and ward off those that would have trifled with our papers. I have seen in more than two cases where candidates to Holy Orders who were consecrated as Bishops and Archbishops desecrated this Holy Calling by discarding the Papers they were given FREE. As such I will not like to see such an incident again at least not in our Ministry.
By the way such monies and donation have been of tremendous help in alleviating lots of ministry needs. The stationeries are bought with hard earned monies so also the design, printing and calligraphic writing on the Credentials. If you will want beautiful and respectable Credentials the monies will definitely come from the Candidates. That does not mean there are no criteria used for appointing candidates into Holy Orders. It is true that gifts most at times blinds good judgment. But that will not stop us from receiving donations and even tasking such candidates in order to see if they can defend such honor/calling expensively bestowed on them. While Simon was greedy for power to do the supernatural as an extension of his magical acts such quests must definitely be rebuked. That will rather make us put a serious check on those that are seeking to be elevated into Holy Orders. I know so many people who still hide their cherished certificate under their boxes. United Fellowship of Christ would say on Ordinations that Donations are accepted but not expected. I leave it at the discretion of such candidates for Holy Order. No good donations no good papers. If Episcopal signet-rings are costing around $3000.00 and the legitimate papers just some paltry sum of money, there is a great need for ORDER. It is TRUE that man cannot BUY his way into Holy Orders it is a priceless office. We endeavor to make sure that none of our cherished papers are turned into tissue papers but valid papers, considering all the cost we put into packaging the Legal documents. Had it been we have people with the philosophy of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Anthony of Padua; who will need donations from candidates? considering the fact that there will be enough to take care of everything, but in a situation where we have stingy members of the parsonage, candidates will definitely have to take care of their ceremonies. I didn’t pay any dime for any of my papers because it was taken care of by my mentoring ministry. But now that I am Independent of UFCMI the monies must definitely come from YOU, I MEAN YOU!!!That is interested in our papers. We are not in any way accountable to the ICU but use their Canon Law as a guide for most of what we are doing in Ministry, Most especially the Ecumenical Structure and Professional conduct of the Clergy.God bless you as we endeavor to ‘Occupy till He Comes’. Note the Doctor of Philosophy originally was a religious degree and
still can be obtained in its original form only in Seminaries and
religious Universities around the world. Centre For World Rebirth is a
part of that unbroken heritage of religious schools, and is one of the
few places you can get the original religious Ph.D. (See the
History of the PhD if you are interested in the historical evolution
of the Ph.D. from religious degree to academic degree).
The doctorate (Latin: doceo, I teach)
appeared in medieval Europe as a license to teach (Latin: licentia
docendi) at a medieval university. Its roots can be traced to the early
church when the term "doctor" referred to the Apostles, church fathers
and other Christian authorities who taught and interpreted the Bible.
The right to grant a licentia docendi was originally reserved to the
church which required the applicant to pass a test, to take oath of
allegiance and pay a fee. The Third Council of the Lateran of 1179
guaranteed the access – now largely free of charge – of all able
applicants, who were, however, still tested for aptitude by the
ecclesiastic scholastic. This right remained a bone of contention
between the church authorities and the slowly emancipating universities,
but was granted by the pope to the University of Paris in 1213 where it
became a universal license to teach (licentia ubiquie docendi). However,
while the licentia continued to hold a higher prestige than the
bachelor's degree (Baccalaureus), it was ultimately reduced to an
intermediate step to the Magister and doctorate, both of which now
became the exclusive qualification for teaching.
At the university, doctoral training was a form of apprenticeship to a
guild. The traditional term of study before new teachers were admitted
to the guild of "Masters of Arts", seven years, was the same as the term
of apprenticeship for other occupations. Originally the terms "master"
and "doctor" were synonymous, but over time the doctorate came to be
regarded as a higher qualification than the master's degree. A
hypothesis by George Makdisi that the doctorate has its origins in the
Islamic Ijazah, a 180 degree turnaround to an earlier view of him which
helds that both system were of "the most fundamental difference", has
been rejected by Tony Huff as unsubstantiated.
The usage and meaning of the doctorate has changed over time, and it has
also been subject to regional variations. For instance, until the early
20th century few academic staff or professors in English-speaking
universities held doctorates, except for very senior scholars and those
in holy orders. After that time the German practice of requiring
prospective lecturers to have completed a "research doctorate" became
widespread. Additionally, universities' shifts to "research oriented"
education increased the importance of the doctorate. Today such a
doctorate is generally a prerequisite for pursuing an academic career,
although not everyone who receives a research doctorate becomes an
academic by profession. Many universities also award "honorary
doctorates" to individuals who have been deemed worthy of special
recognition, either for scholarly work or for other contributions to the
university or to society.
Although the research doctorate is almost universally accepted as the
standard qualification for an academic career, it is a relatively new
invention. The older-style doctorates (now usually called "Higher
Doctorates" in the United Kingdom) take much longer to complete, since
candidates must show themselves to be leading experts in their subjects.
These doctorates are now less common in some countries, and are often
awarded honoris causa. The habilitation is still used for academic
recruitment purposes in many countries within the EU and involves either
a new long thesis (a second book) or a portfolio of research
publications. The habilitation demonstrates independent and thorough
research, experience in teaching and lecturing and, more recently, the
ability to generate funding within the area of research. The
"habilitation" is regarded as a senior post-doctoral qualification, many
years after the research doctorate, and can be necessary for a
Privatdozent (in Germany) or professor position.
A similar system traditionally holds in Russia. Already in the Russian
Empire the academic degree doctor of science (doktor nauk) marked the
highest academic degree which can be achieved by an examination. This
system was generally adopted by the USSR/Russia and many post-Soviet
countries. More
Is it accredited? When asking if the Seminary is accredited it
is important to note we are talking only about the degree-granting
function of our Seminary. Ordinations are done by Centre For World
Rebirth. and there is never a question whether an ordination is
"accredited" or "unaccredited" because there is no such thing as
accrediting a church. Churches have complete freedom to give minister
and rabbi credentials as they see fit. The question of accrediting only
applies to degrees.
Our Seminary does grant religious degrees and does so legally without
accreditation because we are exempt from accreditation. (we don't grant
academic degrees, only religious degrees).
Furthermore, as many other religious degree-granting institutions have
chosen to do, we wish to maintain our independence from state
interference and regulation. Many seminaries choose not to take part in
the accreditation system even though we would qualify easily. (And
qualify to pay their $10,000 accrediting fees!) As a religious
organization that exclusively grants religious degrees, we do not wish
to be subject to any state regulatory or "approval" system. Furthermore
the fees for applying for and then annually maintaining accreditation
are exorbitant, which would require us to significantly
increase our tuition, which so far we have not raise. There exists a
system, a sort of vicious cycle, wherein dedicated devout people with
middle class incomes cannot get credentials. Only the wealthy or those
able to enslave themselves to lengthy years of student loans can afford
to pay the accredited institutions' fees. Due to the separation of
Church and State, churches and seminaries are entitled to remain
independent -- in all things being set apart. Therefore we remain
unaccredited, technically non-accredited, and exempt from accreditation,
by choice.

The First Amendment ensures that "if there is any fixed star in our constitutional constellation, it is that no official, high or petty, can prescribe what shall be orthodox in politics, nationalism, religion, or force citizens to confess by word or act their faith therein." "The Court must then address itself to the defendant's second conclusion: that the ordination of ministers, the granting of church charters and the issuance of Honorary Doctor of Divinity certificates by the plaintiff are substantial activities which do not further any religious purpose. Certainly the ordination of ministers and the chartering of churches are accepted activities of religious organizations. The defendant impliedly admits the same on Page 5 of its Memorandum in Support of its Requested Instructions. The fact that the plaintiff distributed ministers' credentials and Honorary Doctor of Divinity certificates is of no moment. Such activity may be analogized to mass conversions at a typical revival or religious crusade. Neither this Court, nor any branch of this Government, will consider the merits or fallacies of a religion. Nor will the Court compare the beliefs, dogmas, and practices of a newly organized religion with those of an older, more established religion. Nor will the Court praise or condemn a religion, however excellent or fanatical or preposterous it may seem. Were the Court to do so, it would impinge upon the guarantees of the First Amendment."
AUTHORITY
The power or right to do something, particularly to give orders and see that they are followed. The word authority as used in the Bible usually means a person's right to do certain things because of the position or office he holds. This word emphasizes the legality and right, more than the physical strength, needed to do something.
The two basic forms of authority are intrinsic authority (belonging to one's essential nature) and derived authority (given to one from another source). Since "there is no authority except from God" (Rom 13:1), every kind of authority other than that of God Himself is derived and therefore secondary to God's power (John 19:11).
God's authority is absolute and unconditional (Ps 29:10; Isa 40:1). He has authority over nature (Job 38), governments (Dan 4:17,34-35), and history (Acts 1:7; 17:24-31); and He has the power to send people to hell (Luke 12:5). Jesus Christ has the same intrinsic authority as the Father (John 10:25-30), although this authority is said to be given to Christ from His Father, just as the authority of the Holy Spirit is given to Him from the Father and the Son (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13-15). Christ has the authority to forgive sins (John 5:26-27), to lay down His life and take it up again (John 10:17-18), and to give eternal life (John 17:2). The people were astonished at this authority which Jesus revealed when He taught and performed miracles (Matt 7:28-29; 8:27; Luke 4:36).
In addition to the intrinsic authority of God, the Bible speaks of many kinds of derived power. Some of the most important of these are the authority of civil governments (Rom 13:1-7), parents (Eph 6:1-4), employers (Eph 6:5-9), church leaders (Heb 13:7,17), angels (Luke 1:19-20), Satan (Luke 4:6), and evil spirits other than Satan (Eph 6:11-12). There are vast differences among these kinds of authority. Some are permitted by God only for a time.
One derived authority is above every other kind of derived authority, and that is the Bible. Because the Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21), it has divine power and authority. God did not give the Scriptures to be read only, but to be believed and obeyed.
Christians are often given certain authority to exercise. This includes the authority of a parent or a church leader. The most noble use of authority is for serving others. "Let...he who governs," Jesus said, be "as he who serves....I am among you as the One who serves" (Luke 22:26-27). The Christian who seeks to follow Christ's example will learn to use authority with others more than over others. The wise Christian remembers that all derived authority will one day be returned to the God who gave it (1 Cor 15:24-28). But the rewards of faithful service will endure throughout eternity (1 John 2:17).

Order:
"The Court must then address itself to the defendant's second conclusion: that the ordination of ministers, the granting of church charters and the issuance of Honorary Doctor of Divinity certificates by the plaintiff are substantial activities which do not further any religious purpose. Certainly the ordination of ministers and the chartering of churches are accepted activities of religious organizations. The defendant impliedly admits the same on Page 5 of its Memorandum in Support of its Requested Instructions. The fact that the plaintiff distributed ministers' credentials and Honorary Doctor of Divinity certificates is of no moment. Such activity may be analogized to mass conversions at a typical revival or religious crusade. Neither this Court, nor any branch of this Government, will consider the merits or fallacies of a religion. Nor will the Court compare the beliefs, dogmas, and practices of a newly organized religion with those of an older, more established religion. Nor will the Court praise or condemn a religion, however excellent or fanatical or preposterous it may seem. Were the Court to do so, it would impinge upon the guarantees of the First Amendment."
