The people shall dwell alone and shall not be reckoned among the nations. Numbers 23:9

They shall be wanderers among the nations. Hosea 9:17



Jukuns! Jews? I know it sounds so funny, crazy and unbelievable. But don’t laugh and fall off your seat. I am serious, are the Jukuns Jews? History is a very wonderful subject, unappetizing when starting it but rewarding when it comes to applying it to real life situations.

In tracing one’s root there are many sources of information that an individual can draw from . It could be Anthropological, Biological, Biblical, Archeological or historical.

Some very important things we must put at the back of our minds are that:

The Jukuns came from the middle east (Yemen)
The ten lost tribes of Israel taken into captivity by Assyria 'lost?' all traces of their heritage.
And the other two tribes that went into captivity in Babylon did not stay long in captivity.
God asks Ezekiel, can this dry bones live again?

God said in Deut. 28:58-ff (The Message Translation)

"If you don’t diligently keep all the words of this Revelation

written in this book, living in holy awe before This Name glorious

and terrible, GOD, your God, then GOD will pound you with

catastrophes, you and your children, huge interminable

catastrophes, hideous interminable illnesses. He’ll bring back

and stick you with every old Egyptian malady that once terrorized

you. And yes, every disease and catastrophe imaginable–things

not even written in the Book of this Revelation–GOD will bring on

you until you’re destroyed.

Because you didn’t listen obediently to the Voice of GOD, your

God, you’ll be left with a few pitiful stragglers in place of the

dazzling stars-in-the-heavens multitude you had become.

And this is how things will end up: Just as GOD once enjoyed

you, took pleasure in making life good for you, giving you many

children, so GOD will enjoy getting rid of you, clearing you off

the Earth. He’ll weed you out of the very soil that you are

entering in to possess. He’ll scatter you to the four winds,

from one end of the Earth to the other. You’ll worship all kinds

of other gods, gods neither you nor your parents ever heard of,

wood and stone no-gods. But you won’t find a home there, you’ll

not be able to settle down. GOD will give you a restless heart,

longing eyes, a homesick soul. You will live in constant

jeopardy, terrified of every shadow, never knowing what you’ll

meet around the next corner.

In the morning you’ll say, “I wish it were evening.” In the

evening you’ll say, “I wish it were morning.” Afraid, terrorized

at what’s coming next, afraid of the unknown, because of the

sights you’ve witnessed.

GOD will ship you back to Egypt by a road I promised you’d never

see again. There you’ll offer yourselves for sale, both men and

women, as slaves to your enemies. And not a buyer to be found".

Anthropologically, I’ll refer you to Dr. C.K. Meek’s book “A Sudanese Kingdom” in order to find some Jewish heritage among the Jukun. These are:

(a) The eastern gate entrance by the king: All turn their horses swiftly and gallop back again to meet the king as he enters the eastern gate amidst loud shouts welcome from his people. Page 152

(b) The triumphant entry by the King: About 3pm most of the commoners return to Wukari in order to welcome the King when he makes his triumphant entry. It is note-worthy that whereas during the day the king and his officials are all dressed in the typical Jukun fashion, i.e. with a cloth rolled at the waist and extending to the feet, the upper part of the body being left bared, these garments are changed for the triumphal return to the capital. All the officials wear gowns, the king dons the coat known as nyipo, which is decorated with red and white representations of birds and scorpions. He is surrounded by twenty grooms one of whom fans him while another holds the State umbrella close to his head. Pages 151,152

(c) Lion as a symbol of kingship: The drummers announce the Kings arrival by playing two chants… The second is a tonic representation of “Gâ kyô ri bi, Zêku Gâ kyô ri bi, ni she.” i.e. the slouching gait: the lion approaches with slouching gait: take to your heels!” When the king reaches the shrine of Yaku he reins his horse and says “Hî” in imitation of a lion’s grunt.

(d) Jacob and Esau relative account.

(e) Feared by other nations: “The very thorough study of the Jukun peoples and peoples under Jukun influence presented by C.K. Meek in these pages is based on data obtained during considerable sojourn among the Jukun groups of Nigerian peoples who extend more or less from the Gongola River to Igboland, but are now merely a shrunken relic of a confederation known as Kwararafa which, in the middle ages dominated a very large portion of the country now called Hausaland, as well as the Benue region and further south.” H.R. (f) Feast of In-gathering (Puje) or festival of booths. There is a striking resemblance between the Arago custom and the Hebrew seven-day Feast of ingathering. The Puje festival is held in the booths outside Wukari at the close of the harvest, and last seven days. “It may be that the Israelitish festival also had originally to do with the cult of the moon.” C.K. Meek

(g) Proud as a chosen race

(h) Intelligent: Their concept of running a loosely knit confederacy is second to none.

(i) Wanderers: It will be seen therefore that the general African ethnographical bearing or application of this study of Jukun influence or culture which radiated through a large number of other tribes in greater or lesser degree will be largely determined by the answer to the question: Who are the Jukuns and where did they come from? For, according not only to their own traditions but the traditions of their neighbours, they were not originally indigenous either to the the Benue region, their their present main habitat, or in fact to Nigeria, but migrated from Kordofan and the region of the Nile, through the Fitri region, Mandara, and the Gongola region of the Nile Valley then many of Mr. Meek’s cultural comparisons with Egypt gain a weight which will not otherwise attach to them. If the half-hamitic connection of the ruling caste is true could it mean that God really brought the Jews back to Egypt? Who must have written some coded messages in the pyramids in Egypt that’s related to the messianic prophecies.

(j) Theocratic system of Government: They represent the gods in administering the whole land after their dictates. In which he operates both in the priestly and kingly authority.

(k) A supreme Temple: There is a Temple in the premise of the Aku’s palace.

(l) No latrines: A typical Jukun man sees himself as divine/warrior, hence he doesn't poo. Until later times, even those who poo go to the outskirt of the town to poo. It's a taboo to build a latrine in your house. But things are fast changing. 

(m) Warriors: Observing from above assertions investigations reveal that the Gwari Genge (Gbagyi) calls the koros "Poyi" which means people who are saviors in the time of wars. (page 21 The History of Origin and Tradition of the Koro People). 'Ben-Gurion used to say that his happiest day would come when a Yemenite Jew would be appointed chief of staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, and I myself think that day is not far off now'-Mrs. Golda Meir, former Prime minister and Labor minister of Israel, in her book "My Life"

Archaeologically

A few years ago, I learnt that some Jews came all the way to Nigeria, even to Wukari, looking for an archaeological remains, an ancient weapon of war. The rest is not for me to reveal, because it is not in my power to do just that.

Graphology:

The Jukuns have a unique style of handwriting which is synonymous with the Hebrew language. Not all write it but some special people with the court of the King. The rain makers use it and when crowning a new king, that cryptic identical to the Hebrew cryptic is used to make some inscription on his (the Aku’s) thigh/chest. Rev. 19:16 (On his robe and thigh is written, KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS.)

Haven’t you wondered why God is still so interested in Nigerian affairs? To the extent that some people have even said that God must be a Nigeria. If not so, just one crisis is enough to do jaga jaga (mess up) with this country.

Biologically

Honestly, I have not embarked upon this project. Most lost jewish tribes are confirmed by result of Y chromosomes found in all males. Do you know that the Jukuns are always sleeping with one eye opened? If it’s not war with one ethnic group it’s territorial crisis with another. When it’s night they wish it’s morning, if it’s morning they wish it were night.

How they survive their wars is really a miracle attested to by so many natives.

History shows that the Jews have always survived and participated in different civilizations and onslaughts by their enemies.

Now that the jews in diaspora (the true Israel) are gathering together, to mark the end of the prophetic Gentile times recorded in the Bible; it’s no surprise to me that the Kwararafa Heritage is making a roll call of those in diaspora by a divine hand that is making the dry bones to live again.

Even though it seems they have lost their identity, they have not lost their blessings of re-gathering to inherit their promised land. Isaiah 49:1-ff must be fulfilled before Our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth.

To get the favor of God back we need to follow the instructions below in God’s Holy Writ (The Message Bible Translation):

Deuteronomy 28

If you listen obediently to the Voice of GOD, your God, and

heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, GOD,

your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of

the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread

out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of GOD,

your God:

GOD’s blessing inside the city,

GOD’s blessing in the country;

GOD’s blessing on your children,

the crops of your land,

the young of your livestock,

the calves of your herds,

the lambs of your flocks.

GOD’s blessing on your basket and bread bowl;

GOD’s blessing in your coming in,

GOD’s blessing in your going out.

GOD will defeat your enemies who attack you. They’ll come at you

on one road and run away on seven roads.

GOD will order a blessing on your barns and workplaces; he’ll

bless you in the land that GOD, your God, is giving you.

GOD will form you as a people holy to him, just as he promised

you, if you keep the commandments of GOD, your God, and live the

way he has shown you.

All the peoples on Earth will see you living under the Name of

GOD and hold you in respectful awe.

GOD will lavish you with good things: children from your womb,

offspring from your animals, and crops from your land, the land

that GOD promised your ancestors that he would give you. GOD

will throw open the doors of his sky vaults and pour rain on your

land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand. You will

lend to many nations but you yourself won’t have to take out a

loan. GOD will make you the head, not the tail; you’ll always be

the top dog, never the bottom dog, as you obediently listen to and

diligently keep the commands of GOD, your God, that I am

commanding you today. Don’t swerve an inch to the right or left

from the words that I command you today by going off following and

worshiping other gods.

In conclusion, I didn’t say the Jukuns are Jews, I’m just asking you to help me find out. Anyway, what if I tell you that they are? There’s nothing that you can do about it.
